This Vice - Presidency
coordinates all academic affairs mainly through supervising the implementation and
formulating administrative principles to enhance educational activities, evaluating
educational performance of students as well as faculty members, and developing
complementary courses. Also responsible for employing academic staff. The office reports
its activities to the President The affiliated units of the Office of Vice President for
academic affairs consists of: :

- Educational Services Units
Academic Council
Academic Council prepares and compiles educational programs and recommends it to the
University Council. Also provides administrative affairs and facilitate educational
activities. The academic council contains of Educational Vice- President as Chair of the
Council, Vice- Chairperson of Higher Degree Studies, Educational Vice-Chairpersons of the
faculties, Director of Educational Services, and two academic staff by presidential
election.

This Vice - Presidency aims to
provide working plans and supervise the process of research activities and establishes
fruit&.il links between the University research potentiality and corr esponding local
and foreign institutions, and reports the functions of the Office to the President.The
affiliated units of the Office of Vice -
President for Research consists of: - Research Affairs Units - Industrial Relation Units -
Units of Research and Educational Equipment Orders International Relation Units Research

Research Council
The Council chaired by the Research Vice-President who is appointed to hold
research.programs prepares necessary responsibilities. The Council consists of Higher
Degree Vice-President, Research Deputies of the Faculties, Director of Research and
Distinguished Professors with research background.
Publication Council
The University Publication Council is the highest authorised body which has the access to
publish and distributes scientific, technical literature artistic and cultural books,
Journal and other signified documents. The council consists of r research Vice- Pr esident
as the Chair, deans of Faculties Publication Committees and four enthusiast academic staff
selected by President.

To meet increasing demands of the
Country to specialized academicians this Vice Presidency coordinates higher degrees
affairs and programs and presents 43 courses in master degree and 9 courses in Ph.D.with
different options. Yet the University objective is to provide new courses in master and
doctoral level by the year 2000. Other responsibilities are evaluation and approval of
academic competency for the members' academic promotions and higher ranking propositions.
Higher Degrees Council
The Higher Degrees Council of the University is responsible to prepare educational
programs for M.Sc, M.Phil and Ph.D. courses and forward them to the University Council.
For approvalt also facilitates the development and enhancement of Higher Degree courses.
The Council consists of Higher Degrees Vice-President as the Chair, Research and
Educational Vice-Presidents, Director of the Higher Degree Studies of the University, and
representatives of the Faculties.

The aim of this office is to
supervise and implement the functions related to the University affairs and report its
activities to the President, offers financial suggestions to the administrative board tor
interests. Also coordinates and supervises financial, legal, personnel affairs, public
services, and technical / constructional activities. This office report its functions to
