Principal Library and
Documents Center
The principal Library of the Univeisity
was opened in 1960 and is one of the principal learned libraries in the country.
Collections of manuscripts, periodicals and printed books gifted from, donators as well as
by purchase. By agreement the library is entitled to a copy of every book of certain
publishers. The principal library named "The Organization of Libraries and Documents
Center". |

The other libraries are housed in 11
buildings located in the Faculties.
The whole affairs and external relations of the libraries is centralized in the Principal
Library. The Library contains of 285173 Persian and foreign books, mainly English-and
hundreds periodicals. Faculties aim is to keep up-to-date libraries of the books and
periodicals as well as the historic collections most needed by the students. Also it
contains microfilms, microfiches, map-% manuscripts and other documents. A computerized
catalogue links all the
Shahid Beheshti libraries to make tracing books and journals easier. |
Information Center
Beside the machines and programs

to science and math's courses, the
University has computer services to help all
the students. Colleges have substantial
computer facilities, and a central system

Printing and Publishing Center
The Center is responsible to provide, distribute and sell
educational -texts, University course books and references. It acts under the University
Research Department, and gives services for students, academic staff and the other working
groups of the. University. The Centre has a bookshop located in the University campus and
is open to everybody. The Centre has th e access to print and copy rights and has all the
required' equipments.
Halls
There are a number of Halls,Conference
Rooms and Assemblies very, well equipped by modern techniques and facilities to meet the
University's scientific and cultural requirements. The two most important Halls are named
after Sage and eminent scholars of Iran, Aboo Rayhan Birooni Talar, and Sage Maulavi
Talar.
