In the fall of 1997 an SBU  WWW Committee was formed to plan for the development of the Shahid Beheshti University  WWW pages as an official university publication, under the editorial direction of the Office of Public Affairs.The University of Shahid Beheshti  Home Page (formerly known as SBU) was redesigned in winter 1998. The first few levels on this site are designed and maintained by the WWW Steering Committee. If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions regarding the design or organization of these pages, please email the WWW Steering Committee.

Committee mandate

The Web Steering Committee is a subcommittee of Machine Services Center , SBU's Advisory Committee on Information Technology. Specific goals of the committee are to:

• establish an excellent, well organized, coherent presence for SBU on the WWW
• manage SBU's front level pages
• oversee the integration of SBU pages into a cohesive web system

In addition, the steering committee may provide suggestions on the design and format of web pages at SBU.
